At ORCA Reefing, our journey began with a simple need—a reliable, affordable lid for my own reef tank. After weeks of searching, I found myself frustrated with the lack of accessible options in Canada. The few choices available were either overpriced imports from the US or underwhelming DIY solutions that led to sagging covers, a run-down appearance, and, most painfully, the avoidable loss of livestock.
Recognizing this gap, I decided to create my first custom lid. What started as a personal solution quickly evolved into a mission: to provide Canadian reefers with high-quality, affordable lids that protect their ecosystems while enhancing their tanks' appearance.
